Self congratulation

In Uncategorized on October 8, 2011 by grahamharrowell

France yesterday celebrated the anniversary of the abolition of capital punishment. Oddly enough, for the country which prides itself in being the birthplace of Human Rights, they didn’t get around to stopping hacking peoples head’s off until 1981! (A bit behind backward old UK, but they forget to mention that.) They only stopped executing people in public in June 1939 although, to be fair, they wouldn’t allow you to photograph a decapitation after 1909.
